LAW STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

Countless happy students!

Real diagnostic-to-practice-test gains from students who worked one-on-one with Jon.

"He was an amazing tutor. Very knowledgeable and very organized; Always came with packets with similar themes of questions.

Always friendly and on-time. He would usually stay 5-10 minutes after the hour because I felt he truly cares about my progress.

My first Diagnostic was a 137 but after doing 10 weeks with Jon im averaging a 160. Very positive experience for me.

I would highly recommend if anyone locally is looking an LSAT Tutor."

SamLSAT: +23 Points

"I have improved my LSAT score on practice tests by 17 points from my diagnostic, largely in part due to Jon.

We have worked extensively on many parts of the exam over time, and he has made questions that previously seemed too tough to handle appear effortless.

He has a commitment to teaching fundamentals and really learning the test, which I didn't have much confidence that big test prep companies would provide."

JonathanLSAT: +17 Points

"I highly recommend Jon to anyone that is searching for help preparing to take the LSAT.

I had signed up for one of the big-name LSAT prep courses and saw no improvement in practice test scores. Jon's understanding of the exam and his ability to assess the areas in which I struggled the most helped me to improve my practice test scores substantially.

He created a study schedule for me to focus on different areas to improve my overall score, and assigned worksheets based on the question types that gave me the most difficulties.

I have worked with tutors in the past and I can honestly say that Jon is the best I've had."

OUR APPROACH

Your Instructor

Hi! My name is Jon.

I've tutored the LSAT for years across the NYC tri-state area — Manhattan, Brooklyn, New Jersey — and worldwide online. A degree in Philosophy and Mathematics from NYU gave me a deep instinct for logic and problem solving.

I've always loved riddles and brainteasers, and I genuinely enjoyed studying for the LSAT. Even with a top score I chose not to go to law school — I'd rather help other people get there.

Teaching Style

Every plan is custom. A diagnostic test and a consultation call tell us where you actually stand, and the lessons adjust from there. We work from official LSAC prep tests and cover every question type and strategy.

Doing well on the LSAT takes real understanding, so we don't teach cheap tricks that buy a point here and there. We work the test from its core logic — which makes you a sharper critical thinker long after test day.

Lessons take place at our office at 159 E 30th St. Apt 12A, New York, NY 10016 — Midtown Manhattan, minutes from Penn Station and Grand Central. Many students come from New York University, Columbia University, Fordham University and Hunter College, and we're an easy trip from Bergen and Hudson County in New Jersey.

Online tutoring is available anywhere outside the metro area — and it works just as well. Plenty of our NYC students choose online lessons purely for the convenience.

Standard pricing at our New York, NY location is $225/hr. You pay per lesson and can stop any time. We also run a scholarship program for students with financial hardship.

Honestly, it depends. Tutoring is the fastest way to improve, but it isn't the only way — classes and self-study both work, and a mixed approach is often the smartest move. Start with a practice test on LawHub to see where you stand; if you're on a budget, self-study as far as you can and bring in a tutor to close the last few points.

Either way, take the LSAT seriously. It's a decisive part of your application, and a high score opens the door to top schools and substantial scholarships. More on this in our blog post: is a LSAT tutor right for you.

Yes — all three sections: Logical Reasoning (LR), Logic Games (LG) and Reading Comprehension (RC). We can work in broad strokes or drill specific concepts: linear games, grouping games, flaw questions, dual passages, assumption questions, weaken/strengthen questions, timing problems, or whatever's actually holding your score down.
