About Us

Sound Healing Project was founded by Erica Nguyễn, a San Francisco-based certified Sound Practitioner. Her path began in Nepal, where she trained in Tibetan bowl sound healing and therapy, and deepened through study with Gong Master Mike Tamburo, Sound Meditation Presents, Dr. Paul Hubbert of Holographic Sound Healing, and the Globe Institute. As a 200RYT yoga teacher, she weaves Asana and Dhyana into every sound journey for deep relaxation and bliss.

Equity and inclusion are the reason this project exists. Erica built Sound Healing Project to bring sound medicine and yoga teachings to communities that rarely get access to them — youth, seniors, individuals in recovery, dementia patients, and underserved populations — as pathways back to one's true self.

Today, Sound Healing Project hosts immersive sound baths and meditations at yoga studios, schools, community spaces, nonprofits, and private events, holding an inclusive space for anyone to experience the healing power of sound and mindfulness.

Testimonials

Real Stories, Real Impact

“Erica is an excellent and grounding facilitator that provides everyone with the space they need to enjoy and get the most out of the sound bath, even if that means a super power nap. I had a powerful healing experience the first one I attended and have been to many since, each very fulfilling. She incorporates lots of different sound improvisations that sets her apart from other healers. Highly recommend!”

“Our company sought a wellness experience for our annual retreat. We're so glad that we found our way to Erica and Sound Healing Project. This was a new experience for many of us; However, Erica endeavored to construct a safe space through her authenticity, warmth, enthusiasm for her craft and its healing potential. Many who may have been initially hesitant opened themselves to the experience and walked away more balanced. Erica was available to our group after the performance and provided instruction and context to her work. The overwhelming feedback that we received from our team was that Erica provided a basis to continue exploring sound and mindfulness practices and many of us will seek out Erica again for that purpose.”

“I have done many sound baths and generally, I actually tend to spiral in my head MORE than if there wasn't a sound bath going on. Erica is the only one who has actually brought me to a meditative and peaceful state during her sound baths. She incorporates so much variety of sound and it's incredibly relaxing and beautiful.”

“Erica's sound baths transport you to a space of complete relaxation and tranquility. She utilizes a wide variety of instruments to create sounds of intention that will deeply resonate with your mind, body and soul. At one of her sound baths, I was in a state of total relaxation. I am a nurse and the job can be physically, mentally and emotionally taxing. I left the session feeling so refreshed and rejuvenated! Erica's extensive knowledge and expertise as a sound healer is evident. I can't wait to come back for more!”
