The Story Behind Blue Blazer

A blue blaze is a marking on a tree, rock, or signpost to indicate a side trail off the Appalachian Trail. Blue blazed trails lead to alternate routes, scenic overlooks, waterfalls, water sources, campgrounds, or any number of sights worth seeing. A Blue Blazer is an individual who, despite the long and grueling trek, takes time to get off the main path and enjoys the sights along the way.

Laurie Hazel Patton is the founder of Blue Blazer Leadership Development. Drawing on her years as an executive at a global consulting firm, she inspires leaders to chart their own path and move boldly toward a fulfilling life — supporting each person's self-discovery, one conversation at a time. She's recently traded business suits and heels for hiking boots, traveling the US out of a travel trailer on her own journey of self-discovery.
